To Cast a Fire is pioneering into new frontiers in regards to how the Gospel is being shared. This unprecedented initiative will transcend age, parish boundaries, and states of life as it draws together the thirsty to explore the story of God in new and compelling ways. Since the home is the meeting place between the Church and the culture, the majority of events will take place in peoples homes via the support of ‘host families’ who will help create and execute the event. Each event will be customized as the various elements are discerned and planned in collaboration with the facilitator. Host families will have a crucial role, as they will help create the environment necessary for a meaningful experience.

Plumb the depths of the Gospel message like never before by engaging with all of the elements of a parish mission, retreat setting, and small group experience. This initiative promises to provide a reflective and prayerful environment, the opportunity for small group discussion, and creative activations that will utilize the mediums of visual art, poetry, music, and scripture. 

 

Primarily being offered as a stand-alone event in peoples' homes, other expressions such as parish missions, weekend retreats, day retreats, small group studies, and media initiatives will also emerge as they are developed.

A series of 'movements' or 'chapters' will highlight crucial components of the Gospel story, including a prologue and an epilogue. This initiative will be less about “listening to talks” and will feel more like “stepping into an experience” as the entire project seeks to allow people new access to the rich dimensions of the story. The heights and the depths of God’s love know no bounds or limitations and these chapters will unlock that reality in a deeply personal and unique way.
