REVOLUTION MINISTRIES EXISTS TO CREATIVELY SHARE THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
IN AN APOSTOLIC AGE

At Revolution Ministries God is inspiring a deep and creative approach to discipleship and evangelization, an approach that intersects with peoples 'interests, attractions, and desires.' The truths of the Gospel are meant to resonate with people and not be shared in ways that are automatic,  generic, anonymous, dull, or feel like they were copy and pasted from a textbook. Author Henry Nouwen once wrote that "answers before there are questions do damage to the soul." So our first apostolic effort is to aid people in recovering the questions that the answers have hidden.

Leveraging over a decade of full time and ‘on-the-ground’ missionary experience, the executive director is taking the best of what he has learned in the mission field and intends to build upon it as he strives to make "the ancient" message of the Gospel come alive in "new" and compelling ways.

With full time availability, Revolution Missionaries will enter the arena of real lives and fight for real hearts, all under-girded with the spirit of St. John Paul II’s call for a “new evangelization.” With the constant help of the sacraments, collaboration with trusted mentors, and God’s grace, the efforts of this ministry seeks to rouse sleepy hearts for Jesus Christ in this urgent moment of salvation history.

Practically speaking, the various streams of ministry being offered will be the facilitation of small group experiences, leveraging of the media, hosting and creating retreats, and rallying people for meaningful gatherings centered around the Gospel narrative. It is the sincere hope that all efforts of this ministry will help clear away the fog, and allow many people groups to become overwhelmed by the Gospel in a fresh way.

"Even if the Christian message [The Gospel] has known periods of darkness and ecclesial weakness, it will never grow old. Jesus can also break through the dull categories with which we would enclose him and he constantly amazes us by his divine creativity. Whenever we make the effort to return to the source and to recover the original freshness of the Gospel, new avenues arise, new paths of creativity open up, with different forms of expression, more eloquent signs and words with new meaning for today’s world. Every form of authentic evangelization is always new."
-Pope Francis

"What’s different about the age in which we find ourselves in now is it’s not just about converting pagans; it’s about bringing back people who have believed they heard the gospel and convincing them that they should see it again for the first time, and that’s a very different task."
-Msr. James Shea

"We must summon fresh energy for tackling the problem of how to announce the gospel anew in such a way that this world can receive it, and we must muster all of our energies to do this."
-Pope Benedict XVI

Tyler started his missionary career working for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). During his decade tenure with FOCUS, Tyler has served as a full-time campus missionary and team director at three different campuses (Tulane University, The University of Oklahoma, and Wichita State University). In addition, he oversaw domestic and international mission trips, was a lead missionary for FOCUS’ Summer Projects program, and has held other various leadership roles within the apostolate.

His years of deep prayer and on-the-ground experience have forged in him a new missionary calling; to found and establish a new movement under the title of Revolution Ministries: Evangelization in an Apostolic Age. Tyler lives with a rare and unique passion for sharing the Gospel and feels most himself when he gets to engage with people at the level of the heart.

Deeply influenced by the teachings of St. John Paul II, as well as having a deep admiration for the leadership of men such as John Eldredge (Founder of Wild at Heart Ministries), Fr. John Riccardo (Founder of Acts XXIX), and Dr. Christopher West (Founder of the Theology of the Body Institute), Tyler has discovered a particular calling to live on ‘the tip of the spear’ in the cultural moment that we find ourselves in. He has big dreams for this new movement as he sets out to re-engage church culture with the Gospel. Tyler cherishes a quote from the late Mother Angelica (foundress of EWTN) where she says:

Tyler Weber
Founder and
Executive Director

We've lost the theology of risk. We've lost our guts.

Unless you are willing to do the ridiculous, God will not do the miraculous."
